Grove Governance
Grove governance is the process through which GROVE holders take part in protocol decisions. Holders stake GROVE to mint stGROVE, the staked form of the token, which can be used to vote on proposals through a delegate or directly. There is no minimum stake.
Staking and stGROVE
Staking is available in the Grove App. When staked, GROVE is deposited into the Grove staking vault, built on Symbiotic infrastructure, and stGROVE is minted to represent the staked position and its voting power.
- Staked token: stGROVE
- Staking venue: Grove App
- Staking infrastructure: Symbiotic
- Minimum stake: none
Unstaking can be initiated at any time and takes between two and four weeks to complete. Unstaking is queued and becomes claimable after the next epoch ends. The unstaking window keeps voting power stable during active governance cycles. During the unstaking process, tokens lose voting power. Pending unstakes are visible on the Staking page.
Voting and delegation
Proposals are published to Grove's Snapshot space, where stGROVE carries voting power. Stakers can delegate their voting power to one of three delegates, who review proposals and vote on behalf of the holders who support them, or vote on each proposal directly. Delegation is managed on the Staking page, on the Grove App.
The delegates were appointed by the Grove Foundation and the Operational Facilitator under the Sky Ecosystem's Delegation Framework, as announced on the governance forum:
